Morton Dairy was initiated on small scale by an enterprising businessman Late Sri Shibchandra Das in 1958. He, with his visionary entrepreneurial skills, made his pure ghee brand 'Morton' quite popular in every Indian household.

At present, the commanding rope of the company is in the hands of his son Sri Ashit Das who has taken Morton Brand Ghee to new heights. He also has come up with a new brand of pure ghee under the name of 'Riya', to cater to different taste-lovers.
